OC Hostel is our home and a true homestay. We live and work (cleaning and sweeping guestrooms; washing, drying, and folding sheets) inside this building. We are hardworking, professional, and full-time homestay proprietors. We provide barrier-free communication in Taiwanese, Mandarin, English, Cantonese, and Hakka depending on the preferences of guests. We hope to properly introduce our Tainan to every guest who travels here from afar, so that every single one can experience the charm of Tainan’s history, its rich culture, and its delicious food.

 

Our home is located next to Tainan City’s landmark Chihkan Tower. It’s well connected to public transport, and close to many historical sites and restaurants. Tainan’s biggest temple and most popular food street are both nearby. Chihkan Tower, Tainan Grand Matsu Temple, Guan Gong Temple, renowned food street Guohua Street, quaint Shennong Street, and the street art of Haian Road are all reachable with a five- to 10-minute walk.

 

Our guest rooms all have private bathrooms and outdoor facing windows. The rooms are spacious and square, and furnished with five-star hotel quality large and comfortable beds and bedding. We also provide daily essentials, including toothbrushes, combs, shampoo, body wash, towels, and indoor slippers. The public spaces have communal refrigerators, free washing machines, and free coffee sachets and teabags for guests. The living room has a bar with a selection of Belgian craft beers that are only available to guests. All guests can enjoy a 20 percent discount, and there is no service charge. We are willing to share our knowledge of Tainan with guests, and listen to their impressions of Tainan and Taiwan in return. The homestay accepts currency from numerous countries and regions (NT dollar, Hong Kong dollar, Macanese pataca, renminbi, U.S. dollar, Japanese yen). Guests can also opt to pay by credit card, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and LINE Pay to maximize the convenience afforded to our guests.
