The Donkey without Curly Lashes

Site information

When we traveled to Spain we saw a cute donkey taxi which prompted us to start a serious discussion on the differences between horses and donkeys. Donkeys look like a smaller version of horses. While horses are tall, strong and always walking with a sense of pride, donkeys are less privileged in terms of physique. Donkeys have a pair of sleepy eyes and a serious personality. They pull carts without any complaint and serve as the goodwill ambassador of Mijas. Donkeys’ characters resemble that of Easterners. We thought that if horses have curly eyelashes then donkeys must have straight ones. And this is how we came up with the name of our B&B.

The Donkey without Curly Lashes is located in the rural area of Madou, Tainan, surrounded by local fish farms and a rich ecological environment isolated from the noise of the city. We hope to make the B&B a place for a slow, relaxing lifestyle that heals tired souls.

The B&B is furnished in the Spanish style: the roof tiles, bricks, stones, and decorations are all from Spain; the colorful rooms symbolize the passionate and diverse culture of Spain. There is a field that is 50k squares big with a view of a fish farm which is often mistaken for a beautiful lake. We serve Spanish-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners, making you feel like you are actually in Spain.
